USDA National Forest Service: NRM-SUDS
Redesigning and improving the user experience of a web-based application to enhance efficiency for program managers
My responsibility was to improve the user experience of the NRM-SUDS web app by modernizing it and adopting new technologies, making it more efficient for program managers to serve the public and environment. However, to achieve this, I had to redo all previous design processes due to the lack of solid foundations and non-existent design systems. Despite this, I was able to keep up with the existing roadmap and successfully deliver a better product.
How I transformed PowerTrack-Web™ into a user-friendly web app
One of the most impactful projects I've worked on. Turning PowerTrack Web from Legacy to Leading User-Friendly App
In this case study, I’ll share my design process and the critical UX/UI decisions I made to enhance the user experience. As the sole designer tasked with revamping the legacy PowerTrack web application at AlsoEnergy Inc., I set out to transform it into a user-friendly web app. With a solid understanding of the project requirements and the users’ pain points, I embarked on a journey that involved in-depth research, wireframing, ideation, prototyping, and presenting to stakeholders and developers. Through meticulous attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills, I led the PowerTrack Web flag web app to become a leading solution, exceeding the company’s and its clients’ expectations. This case study highlights my project work, challenges, and solutions that proved successful.
